This lesson incorporates concrete objects and tactile learning into social emotional learning. The Google Slides file can be used as a discussion guide and visual poster. You may use it on your electronic display or print it for your bulletin board! Works well for young learners and/or special education.

Experience

I have 10 years of experience working as a special education teacher in Minnesota. I work mostly with students who are identified with Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Autism, and Developmental Delays. My focus is on social-emotional/behavioral skills and executive function.

Teaching style

I use a trauma-informed behavioral approach to teaching. I use human development and formative data as a basis for my instruction; and I value direct, intentional, simple language to maximize student outcomes.
