About the store
I have taught math at Summit Middle School in Fort Wayne, Indiana for 15 years. I teach 8th grade math, a remedial math class and Geometry for high school credit to 7th and 8th graders. I've also been the Math Department Leader for 14 years. For the past 7 years, I've partnered with our local university, Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, to host their Math Methods pre-service teachers for "active" field experience in which they teach in pairs for a mini student teaching experience ... planning, teaching and reflecting together.

Integer Operations Placemat Activity (Full Version)
If you want your students to be engaged and working collaboratively in a competitive activity, then this “placemat” is what you need!
Students will work in groups and practice computing integer expressions using all four operations. The progression of the mats increases in difficulty; problems begin with pairs of integers and move up to using all four operations with 5 terms!
All problems are designed to be done without a calculator.
