I have been teaching math for 6 years. Within my 6 years, I have taught algebra, honors geometry, math 7, math 8, and honors math 6. I also tutor different subjects over the summers and throughout the school year.
Seeing the amount of vocabulary in this chapter about circles made both my students and me very overwhelmed! I figured I would create this vocabulary sheet with the introductory circle terms to help students master the vocabulary they'll need for the rest of the chapter. I also included a word search so they can have a bit of a brain break. First they have to fill in the definitions to the corresponding term, and then they will complete the word search. There is an answer key provided for both p
Students will cut out the boxes. They will begin with the problem that says "start" and write the equation that matches the given requirements. They then glue the next box on the bottom of the first one to create a ladder. Their ladder will be complete with the box that says "end" on it. In total, there are 8 practice problems for students to complete with both parallel and perpendicular lines.
This resource includes 12 problems for solving systems of equations by substitution or elimination. Students will choose 6 problems to complete by substitution and 6 problems to complete by elimination. You can have students check their answers by graphing on Desmos or graphing calculator. There is a variety of problems and answers including equations in standard, point-slope, and slope-intercept form. Answers include integers and fractions/decimals. Check out my other resources!
Students will work with a partner on either column 1 or column 2. When both partners are done, their answers should match. There are 8 problems in each column, including two word problems. The problems included show at least one example of each operation. I also included an easy checking "magic number" on the bottom that will allow for teachers to easily check that the entire worksheet is correct. This acts as an additional adding integers problem as well. Check out my other resources!
Help your students grasp the difference between a relation being a function or linear. This graphic organizer will help students determine when a relation is a function. Once they determine a relation is a function, they will be able to determine whether or not it is linear.
