I have 8 years of experience with students of low-income backgrounds, expulsions, difficulty in classrooms, and other difficult circumstances. I currently teach maths ranging from middle school to Calculus to alternative students and do my best to inspire a love for learning. My lessons are targeted at bringing kids back up to pace with their education by being quick and encompassing. Most of my creative material is algebra-focused and is designed to create fun with learning math.

Brief Notes on Angles in a Quadrilateral Notes I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for students to practice material. I give an assignment on the material so students can use the majority of class time experiencing and mastering problems on their own. My students are behind in math skills and have time and time again flunked out of math classes or have been expelled. I aim to use short concise notes to get students back on track and build up their math skills. I gener

Brief Notes on Dot Plots (Line Plots) WS This worksheet is dedicated to providing students with an understanding of dot plots, how to analyze the advantages of these plots, and how they can be simple or categorized. There are 2 simple dot plots and 3 categorized dot plots with reminders and notes on how to graph them. Depending on the class, I might do one problem with kids to get them started, but I find many of my students pick up on these graphs quickly. My students are behind in math skills

Brief Notes on Stem and Leaf Plots Quick Notes My notes are scaffold for student learning to slowly lose the reigns of learning into students' hands. These notes focus on teaching students about stem and leaf plots and how to briefly analyze the advantages of these visual aids. The notes also cover that multiples of the same data value are expressed on these charts and how to use the charts with data values containing decimals. I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for

Brief Notes on Stem and Leaf Plots WS This worksheet is dedicated to providing students with gradual progression on stem and leaf plots, how to analyze the advantages of these plots, and how they can be applied to real-world problems. That said, this is a short worksheet of only 4 problems. I do not spend too much time going over these problems in class, as I find many students pick up on them quickly but need time to sit and go through the problems. Between my notes and worksheet, I expect some

Brief Notes on Scatter Plot Quick Notes My notes are scaffold for student learning to slowly lose the reigns of learning into students' hands. I first teach different orientations of Scatter Plots so that students know what to expect and how to describe them. For these orientations I then teach vocab including Line of Best Fit. While I teach about line of best fit, I only approach it with estimation, not with calculation. I teach students with brief notes that allot more time in class for studen

My own education history

I grew up struggling with math but always enjoying math. I learned most material on my own outside of school, and so I understand the issues kids can have with learning math and how to overcome the struggles. My undergrad is in mathematics and math education. I also have a Master's in Instructional Design and Technology.
