Experience

I've been teaching high school math in New Jersey for the last 10 years. I teach Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 at all levels. I also recently started teaching Basic Programming in Visual Basic and C# and love it!

Teaching style

I am always looking for new ideas to keep my students motivated and engaged. I use technology, interactive lessons, alternative assessments, and interesting activities whenever I can. I try to use direct instruction as little as possible. When students are having fun, they actually tend to enjoy learning even the most boring topics! Even making the smallest tweaks to your lessons can make a world of a difference.

Additional biographical information

I have two boys, ages 5 and 3, and they have inspired me to become the type of teacher that I hope they are lucky enough to have when they grow older.
