Today's Number Math Template

A lot of times during Morning Meeting or during Math Class, time is spent on number sense and work is done with an activity called "Today's Number." This is also a great activity to use as a "bell ringer," homework assignment, center work, or a transition activity. Here are some ways to think about using this.... 1. Use a document camera, overheard projector, interactive whiteboard, computer and LCD projector, etc. - project this template and use as a group activity. 2. Laminate enough copies

Experience

Teaching style

I encourage students to be independent thinkers and develop a life-long love of learning. My lessons are student centered, encourage student engagement, and challenge students to be creative thinkers. When I work with college students and adults, I am in favor of a hands-on experience. I am more of a facilitator rather than a lecturer. I am a believer in the flipped classroom model of teaching.
