This Independent Reading Notes Sheet is a great graphic organizer to use for Grades 3-8. Students can use this to take notes on a book that they are reading. This is also a great option to use for a traditional book report. I have used this graphic organizer with our summer reading program, The students need to complete this to document proof that they have read their summer reading book. When they return to school, they turn this in to their teachers.

Teaching style

I encourage students to be independent thinkers and develop a life-long love of learning. My lessons are student centered, encourage student engagement, and challenge students to be creative thinkers. When I work with college students and adults, I am in favor of a hands-on experience. I am more of a facilitator rather than a lecturer. I am a believer in the flipped classroom model of teaching.
