A great way to incorporate art into your math lesson! Students will LOVE this hands on, creative project. This project focused on the 2D and 3D shape unit, covering everything from straight and curved lines of a 2D shape, to the faces, vertices, and edges in a 3D shape. Students create and fold net boxes as well; but with a fun twist. Students create a spring (or Easter) basket (a cube) to put all their other shapes into, while recording all their knowledge of each 2D and 3D shape they creat

A hands on activity where students cut, sort, and paste odd and even numbers

using a 100cm peice of string, students measure items and record their findings

Each student will need a mini box of the valentine's day smarties (red and pink). They use this sheet to estimate, tally, create a pictograph, and compare their findings to another students' smartie box. A fun way to do some math!
