This activity allows the students to take a trip outdoors to explore the perimeters of different items. Students will need to find five objects in which they are to find the perimeter. This also allows them to practice their fine motor skills as they will need to sketch a smaller version of their object. This activity touches on shape recognition, as well. The students will be measuring in inches so it's also a great lesson in which teachers can re-introduce measuring with a ruler!!
