I used whiteboard markers with my students and had them leap over the small lily pads when skip counting by 2's and 5's. Some of the kids who needed support, filled in each number and then rubbed out the smaller ones. In pairs, students roll either 2 or 3 dice (depending on board) and use mental maths to add the numbers together. If their number appears in a circle they can cross it out. If it does not, they wait until it is their turn again to try their luck.
I laminate copies and have students use whiteboard markers to cross out numbers.
You can use counters for students who are not yet ready for mental math strategies.
