Battleship / Acorazado - Spanish Game - Ser + Descripciones
This is a game board for playing Battleship, or Acorazado, in Spanish class to practice the verb ser in the present tense and personality and physical descriptions. The top board is for hiding one's own ships and the bottom board is for keeping track of the partner's ships. Students write one X per box to hide the ships, vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. This assignment was inspired by the Middle School unit on the Hero's Journey from Great Minds. We read versions of the monomyths The Ramayana and The Odyssey and studied the character archetypes of these types of stories as well as Campbell's (and Vogler's) Hero's Journey. The assignment is to ultimately write an original monomyth. Additional biographical information
I live in Vermont with my son. I love to travel, especially abroad. Adventure and new experiences fuel me. I am currently a community health worker and medical interpreter for Spanish-speaking families in southern Vermont. I also just became a birth doula. I love to hike, swim, eat out, read, go to concerts and shows, play board games, create embroidery art, and speak Spanish.
