Break your EQ's and LOs (essential questions and lesson objectives) down to student friendly terms and you'll notice a big difference in engagement. Cute sun with a graduation cap on lets students know the Essential question. Then it breaks down the lesson objective/ daily objective into student friendly terms: "Today I am" - What are your studen

One of my favorite self-assessments for students is to have them tell me what their "muddy areas" are. What areas are confusing about the current lesson or unit. With the muddy area poster, it's a quick, fun and easy way to have students let you know what areas they find confusing. Hang this poster on the door or on the wall near the door and allow students to jot down the things that confuse them on a sticky note. I also have laminated a larger version of this and allowed students to writ

Additional biographical information

Wife of 1, Mother of 4, Teacher of MANY. As a teacher in a low budget (who isn't now a days?), high needs school, I needed to find secondary (high school and middle school) resources to supplement. I was tired of "making do" and tweaking designed meant for younger students or other subjects. So, I began making my own resources for my students. Now I'm sharing some of those with you. Please be patient as I fill my store. My family and students still need me as well. If you are in need of something, or think I may have something you'd like, send me a message. If it is used in the middle school or high school math classroom, chances are I have it somewhere!
