This is a Jeopardy Review Game I made for Chapter 1 of our Social Studies Textbook. Our Textbook tite is "Building A Nation" by Scott Foresman (5th Grade). It is a PowerPoint game. The game includes the following categories and goes along with the textbook Chapter test:
M/A/or I? (Mound Builders, Anasazis, or Inuits?)

This is a very explicit lesson for students to teach them how to summarize. It uses the acronym "MIDAS" to help students remember exactly how to summarize. It also models how to summarize using a nonfiction text. The final slides teach the difference between direct quotations and paraphrasing in summaries.

This year, I helped organize a STEAM and AMSTI Science Night at our school. We began with an educational presentation to teach parents about the new science and engineering standards.
