2nd Grade Shapes Worksheet / Assessment (Front and Back or Two Pages)
This is the perfect common core related activity to assess students at any point in the geometry unit. It covers the terms sides, angles, and vertices, as well as identifying cubes and what makes them different from squares.
I use this at the end of the unit to show understanding from my students.

Teaching style
I am a dedicated elementary school teacher with a passion for inquiry based learning. I believe in reading and writing across the curriculum with the integration of multiple subjects to create a flexible, innovative classroom environment. Success is found when students learn through exploration and each other by creating a comfortable, welcoming setting that encourages discussion and higher level thinking. Mathematics is my passion as well as my area of strength. I am hard working and trusted and I believe collaboration, feedback, and reflection is the key to professional growth and achievement.
