"Hist-agram" Photo-sharing app Template
I created a template that mimics a well-known photo-sharing app for smartphones. The Histagram template provides two pages and each page has two screen-cap style areas within which students can share photos and profile information in character as a historical figure.

Social Networking in 140 characters Template
I created a "twemplate" allowing my students to pretend to be sharing comments and thoughts in chunks of 140 characters. I have a similar "Histagram" template that my students used to create posts for historical figures in order to demonstrate their understand of that individual's impact on history. My students created "Histagrams" for either Julius or Augustus Caesar, and then complete the "Twemplate" for Socrates, Plato, or Aristotle.

Experience
I began teaching in 2008 and my experience has been an adventure! Teaching style
When teaching a CRCT or End of Course Test class, I rely heavily on Interactive Notebooking to blend traditional techniques with differentiated and scaffolded Best Practices, including Marzano's strategies. When teaching courses that do NOT have a state test, I am in my happy place and use Project Based Learning. Regardless of my courses, I use the principles of Wiggins and McTighe's Understanding by Design.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart who is also an educator. We have two sons, one of whom is also an educator. I have two scruffy little rescue dogs that are adorable. I enjoy crafts of all kinds, doing yoga, and traveling.
