About the store
I embarked on my teaching career over ten years ago, but in my second through fourths years I taught 6th-12th English Language Arts and revived an academic team. With 7 preps in my first four years, I learned a lot about the teaching field, the English language, and especially myself! I now work at the secondary private school level teaching humanities. My course incorporates English Language Arts, History, and Bible (and a little of anything else that falls between!)

Week at a Glance Lesson Planner and Organizer

With everything else there is to do, the shaping of the amazingly complex and fun minds in the room, as well as the creativity flowing out of teacher's daily, teaching can be exhausting and fun and messy! Lesson planning, however, should not be messy! This lesson planning form I have developed is my rock in the storm, the sun to my shine, and the simplicity in the chaos that can be the school year. I use this form to turn in my lesson plans weekly! Here's why I love it, and why I think you w

Absent Work Form

Never stress about the work for absent students again!!! When a student is out, they miss out on more than just work--they miss invaluable skills, discussion, and sometimes extra directions. I made this form to help me as well as my students keep track of the work they missed in class. I simply fill it out and attach it to the work they missed. Grade Documentation Sheet

This is a log I created for students to calculate their own grades. I also use it to help students keep track of their completed assignments and measure their progress. The form has locations for students to attest to putting forth their best effort, turning it on time, indicate if they need extra practice or tutoring, and reflect on their learning. This is a great tool not only for students to take responsibility for their work, but also measure their own progress and calculate their own grade

Experience

I embarked on my teaching career over ten years ago, but in my second through fourths years I taught 6th-12th English Language Arts and revived an academic team. Teaching style

I am all about helping students understand the real world application to what they are learning. I want them to make sense of what happens in the classroom in such a way that they can apply it to their own world. Like my own favorite English teacher, Rhonda Howard, my mantra is that in my classroom we will "Read on the lines, between the lines, and beyond the lines."
