This document is designed to be an entire week's worth of work. Each lesson is labeled as an "on demand" or "live learning" day, referring to if it is to be done in a live meeting or for the students to work on their own. This is a 5 lesson bundle, perfect for adapting for live class, independent practice, or homeschooling. Each lesson in the document has an introduction, linked resources, and instructions. These lessons are paired together to layer in knowledge of the Sensory System by using activities, games, readings, and videos to give all students an entry point into the learning. There is also an "additional resources" section at the end for extra exploration!

This video sheet is designed with open ended questions that go along with the documentary My Teacher Octopus. The purpose is to get students thinking about their own connection to nature and how the relationship between humans and the natural world can impact how we live and appreciate Earth.

This video sheet follows "One Strange Rock" docuseries for the episode "Gasp." It is available on Disney Plus, so you will need a subscription to show the video. There are 2 pages, each can be a standalone option or they can be used together for the same episode. The questions are designed to get students thinking about and recognizing concepts and learning and apply it to what they are watching in the video. It's also a really great option for extra credit if needed!

This graphic organizer includes links to thought provoking TedEd videos that give students new ways to think about cells, including questions for each video to focus their thinking. It's a perfect enrichment assignment, extra credit, or introductory way to transition into real-world based projects or debates about cells.

This is a quick and easy way to give students a chance to document their thinking and learning about a text set. This can be used with a text, video, movie, or infographic (or combination of them) so students have a choice of information resources. We often focus on science literacy in our classes, so this is really helpful to move away from right/wrong answers and get them practicing picking information that seems important, interesting, or gets them thinking about more questions!
