Experience

I'm currently an ENL coordinator and teacher for a high school in NYC. For years, I was working with K-8 ELLs and had developed my own ENL curriculum and lesson plans.

Teaching style

I do not believe in textbooks and watered-down materials for ELLs!! They need to be exposed to literacy, not grammar and spelling lessons! I immerse my students with juicy texts and critical literacy in order to promote their language acquisition and critical thinking.
