Penny Boat Lab - Scientific Process
Here's a great way to introduce the Scientific Process to you students.
The objective of the experiment is to have you students create a boat out of tin foil that will hold the most pennies in it before it sinks. They can fold or tear the foil, but that's it. You will need lots of foil for groups of students to use. The experiment walks the students through the entire process, including follow-up questions.

Use the following pages to assist you with “drill & kill” basic MULTIPLICATION FACTS from multiply 0 to 10.
They are not super cute, but get the job done. Each sheet contains 20 facts for a specific multiplier. Each sheet contains 3 repeating sets to save photocopying.
Directions:
• Create 11 different bins, from multiply 0 up to multiply 10
• Place copies of each drill set into each bin
• Allow 1 – 1.5 minutes to complete the set
• Mark together
• Have students keep track of their results on
