I know that we must miss without warning, but that is why most districts ask us to keep a sub folder. That’s great, however, must subs do not know how to do math at a middle school or high school level. At least they are not comfortable doing math without help. So, I wanted to create a useable workbook that contains not just fun math worksheets but also note pages that a sub could go over with the students. This is a PowerPoint game that uses Pie Face! to encourage students to review working with pi. We used it on Pi Day and the 7th graders loved it. This version includes area and circumference of circles, volume and surface area of cylinders, and volume of cones. Students work in groups of 3 to work out problems. If they are correct they may choose to play Pie Face! for bonus points. If they are wrong they must explain what they did wrong after seeing the correct answer. They will lose a poi

I made this PowerPoint to use an a review for my Algebra students. I try not to make my PowerPoint presentations overly busy, but easy for my students to follow along. I like to print the presentation to give as a handout so students can take notes as I go over the content. This is not a long presentation, only 12 slides, but includes examples of the substitution method and the elimination method.
