Created by
Carlson's Class
In this Place Value BINGO activity students will practice place value by recognizing base 10 blocks, expanded form and how many hundreds, tens, ones there are in a given number. I have included 8 BINGO boards to use for small groups and/or math stations/centers as well as one blank BINGO board to use with the whole class. I like to play BINGO with my kiddos as a whole class when we have mastered the skill. I call out the numbers (answers) and have students fill in the BINGO board at random. I t

Build a Bond -- Multiplication and Division Fact Families I use this board for students to practice multiplication/division fact families. It’s good reinforcement on how these numbers are related to each other. This packet will practice facts 1-12. I’ve made this set to be played in small groups either with a teacher or as an independent math center. I have included a blank BINGO board as well. I use this when I feel as if the whole class has mastered the skill. I will call out the answers and have the kids write them ran

Building Number Bonds within 20 This product is designed to help students practice building number bonds and writing those bonds into fact family number sentences. This set includes building boards with the whole number represented (1-20). Students are to pick a card and find the matching board. Students then look at the card to determine which numbers (parts) they will need to begin building their number bonds. For example: Students pick a Bubble Gum Kid Card with 5 as the whole number.

Experience

I have been teaching for seven years. I've taught kindergarten, first and second grades. I love them all, but definitely have a soft spot for my kinders. :)

Teaching style

I am a firm believer in learning through play. Kiddos have to have plenty of opportunities to interact with each other to learn best. We play a lot of games in my classroom, which means that if you were to walk in you would not always find a quiet classroom! We talk to each other A LOT.

My own education history

I have my undergraduate degree in History from Southern Oregon University and my masters in teaching from Portland State.
