Experience

I have been teaching for seven years. I've taught kindergarten, first and second grades. I love them all, but definitely have a soft spot for my kinders. :)

Teaching style

I am a firm believer in learning through play. Kiddos have to have plenty of opportunities to interact with each other to learn best. We play a lot of games in my classroom, which means that if you were to walk in you would not always find a quiet classroom! We talk to each other A LOT.

My own education history

I have my undergraduate degree in History from Southern Oregon University and my masters in teaching from Portland State.
