Five simple rules to follow to teach students how to create a scientific graph which is clear and easy to read. Includes a sample dataset of daily temperatures in Las Vegas to create a graph from.
This activity provides an excellent introduction to graphing and practice reading and interpreting the data. Students are provided with a simple distance vs. time dataset and given instructions to make the graph. The activity then guides them to look at the information and interpret what the graph is saying.
