Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to have experience teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. I have been an emotional support teacher, a learning support teacher, and a co-teacher. I love creating resources for my classroom, that I can share here with all of you!

It's like teacher artwork - haha, but they just aren't practical in my learning support classroom. Sure, I leave up charts and posters that benefit, in some way or another, all students who come to my learning support classroom, but sometimes I need for each of my students to have what anchor charts offer. Calculator Reference Cards

I have a few students who really struggle with using a calculator. No matter how many times I say which buttons to press, or even draw on the board the buttons to press, it is still difficult. I decided to make life size calculator reference cards for my students to keep at their desks when working on math problems. These reference cards include real life calculator photos, of the same calculator they use in my classroom ( TI-30X IIS). Students can see exactly where certain keys (that they n

Laws of Exponents Flip Book (Math)

Math has SO many rules for different topics. Sometimes it's hard for students to remember them all! Especially when it comes to math skills they don't use on a daily basis, such as exponents. I created "Laws of Exponents Flip Book" to help reduce the agony my learning support students were developing, while working with exponents. Also, being the special education inclusion teacher in the classroom, the regular education students thanked me for creating this as well! I had originally made this w

All About Percents | Flip Book (Math)

Learning about percents can be confusing. Multiply this... Divide that... Change this to a decimal... etc... etc. SO much to remember! With all of that in mind, I created "All About Percents" flip book as a tool both my learning support students and regular education students use in my inclusion math classes, during the ever painful chapter on percents. There are 8 different pages included in this flip book that cover the following topics: - WHAT IS A PERCENT - PERCENT OF A NUMBER - A PERCENT

Simplifying Expressions & Evaluating Equations | 2 Flip Books

Once variables are added to math, I feel like I completely lose my students. Especially with more than one step to solve. They get very confused. They get frustrated. At times they even shut down. I needed to break this down for them, in an easier to understand way. My Simplifying Expressions & Evaluating Equation Flip Books did just that. I have students in my Learning Support classroom, as well as in a co-taught math classroom, that these were geared for. They needed something that was e

Solving Linear Equations | Flip Folder (Math)

This flip folder was created as a tool to help student with the foundational skills of calculating unknown values - which is often required to solve linear and systems of equations. My 6th-8th learning support students have always struggled with solving for a variable. This flip folder provides helpful examples, common terms to know, and helpful hints for when it comes to solving these often tricky equations! There's many ways students can build their flip folders. Students can design their fol
