Great outdoor learning activity! I created this handout during a 2nd grade unit on Natural Resources. We took a walk around the school and the kids recorded the natural resources they observed. The quiz is designed to assess basic comprehension of the story as well as of the Common Core Standard RL 2.3 (Character Response). I used it as a formal assessment, but it could also be used as an independent, partner, or whole group activity. It was created with second graders in mind, but could be used with any student/grade at this reading level.
