Students demonstrate their understanding of the terms relative and absolute location. Students then apply that understanding to describe the relative location of their desks in the classroom. This goes will with the Pearson My World, We Do Our Part textbook chapter 3 Lesson 1.
I created this worksheet for the beginning of the year. This gives my students a long term goal to strive for. I will also keep their responses in mind for career day in the spring. I have included corresponding objectives and standards, a rubric, and task description for a standards based bulletin board. This could be used at the beginning of the year or before career day.
This place value worksheet involves base 10 blocks and a place value/ HTO chart. There are 2 pages- I use one to model with and give the students the other to complete by themselves.
