About the store
I've been teaching for nearly 20 years. My undergraduate degree is in Health and Physical Education. However, my first teaching job was teaching self-contained special education at the middle school level. Since then I've taught health and PE, self-contained special education at the high school level, middle school math (7th and 8th grades), and co-taught ELA and math as the special education teacher as well as the general instruction teacher. My certifications are many, but I think I've found my niche in math.

Angles, Parallel Lines & Transversals Graphic Organizer

Created by

Help your students learn basic angles as well as angles created by parallel lines cut by a transversal. Use this as a classroom poster, graphic organizer, or fill-in-the-blank notes.

This graphic organizer could be printed as a poster for the classroom or given to students and allowed to doodle as they learn. Transformations can be tricky, but some good examples and an understanding of the "rules" proves helpful.

Angles formed by Parallel Lines cut by a Transversal Self-Check Mystery Puzzle

Created by

Help your students apply the concepts of angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal with this self-checking mystery puzzle activity. Students analyze a graphic to determine angle measurements and angle relationships. Students type in the angle measurement and use a drop down box to select the correct angle relationship. As students answer the questions correctly, the answer box turns green and pieces of the mystery picture appear. Oh what will it be?! Before sharing this activity

Triangle & Angle Station Activity

This seven station activity allows students to apply their knowledge of the Triangle Sum Theorem, Exterior Angle Theorem, and Angles formed by Parallel Lines cut by a Transversal. Each station applies at least 2 rules and/or theorems. When I do this with my class, I print the stations on different colored paper and hang them around the room. I then divide the class up; students must stay at their color station. However, this activity could also be used as task cards or in small groups as w

Angle Scavenger Hunt

Students and teachers LOVE scavenger hunts! It's a low prep resource for teachers; students are up and moving while reviewing their knowledge of angle pairs formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal, triangle sum theorem, and exterior angle theorem. Here's how I use this resource in my classroom: -Print the scavenger hunt on colored paper and post each paper randomly around the room. -Give answer sheets to students (you can allow to work individually or in pairs). -Students start at

Pythagorean Theorem Task Cards

Allow your students a little freedom from the boring worksheet. Students have 12 task cards (questions) to answer on an answer sheet. Students have freedom of choice in which order they answer. The tangible task card adds for variety. You can even print the answers on the back of the task cards if using them at a station, so students can self check. Students solve for the legs as well as the hypotenuse of a right triangle. Half the questions are Pythagorean triples; the other half require

This is a great resource for Pythagorean Theorem or distance formula. The airplane is relatively basic. The flower, however, is a little more challenging because its leaves are right triangles; so, unless students recognize that the slopes are opposite reciprocals (which create perpendicular lines), they may struggle to find the area.

Pythagorean Theorem Digital Memory Match

Remember playing the game "Memory" when you were a kid? All the cards were set out upside down and you had to find matches? Well, this activity was inspired by that game. Students use the Pythagorean Theorem to determine the missing side lengths of the right triangles. As they answer questions correctly, different character cards (pictures) appear. The objective is to find the 6 matches. My students enjoyed this activity. I heard all sorts of happy chatter and excitement when different c
