I have been a middle school math educator for over 16 years and am passionate about helping students develop both confidence and competence in mathematics. Throughout my career, I have worked to create engaging, standards-aligned resources that support diverse learners and encourage mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application. Memory Matching - Number Sense
The games consistent of percents, fractions and decimal equivalencies. It is a fun way for students to work on their equivalences, while training their memories too!
Students will construct a 5 x 5 square without showing any of the values. You may time students, let them work in partners, etc. It is truly up to you!

Number Sense: Ordering
Students may cut out the 10 squares and put them in least to greatest (or greatest to least) order.
Students are working through percent, decimal and fractions.
6th - 8th
Decimals, Fractions, Math
I Have, Who Has Game
Conversions. I Have, Who Has is a game to support our ESL learners.
You divide the cards into the whatever size group you would like. Someone has a start card. They read aloud their card. The next period will go that has their match, and then reads their question card.
Example:
I have the start card. Who has -6 + 2?
I have -4. Who has -10 - 7?
I have -17. Who has ...etc

Equivalency Puzzle
Teachers will need to cut up the puzzles prior to students using this activity.
I strongly recommend copying on card stock and laminating so you may use for years to come with your students once you cut them up.
Students work on building their %-Decimal-Fraction triangular puzzle.
Students enjoy the activity without even realizing that they are practicing math!
5th - 8th

7.NS.1
Students are able to work through a horizontal number line model, corresponding word statement and math statement. Students are given one of those three and must write/construct the equivalency.
