Students don't realize they are doing metacognition unless we help them realize what it is. This activity can be used for various areas: metacognition, student check ins, school counseling lesson activity, school psychologist one on one activity, and more. This is a fun way for students to tell us what is going on in their brain!

Check out this simple behavior chart! It's a great resource for an IEP behavior intervention in the classroom. Edit it in google docs to fit your student's need, print it out, and stick in a folder for the student to have with them during the day! This resource is great to print, laminate, and have copies of around the classroom. My SPED students and oppositional defiant students thrived with this graphic organizer. After teaching a lesson, I'd do a lap around the classroom and fill these out for students. By learning student motivators early on, this is a quick and easy way to get students going on their independent practice.
