Counseling check-in papers include 3 different leveled papers for students to check-in and report how they feel. Check-ins include faces as well as words for feelings. The paper for older students includes a place to list something they need to talk about and how big the problem is. I use these at the start of each lesson with my students. They are a wonderful resource for my students to tell me what they need. For the younger students, they just write on the back if they need something.

Experience
I am a graduate from a CACREP accredited program school counseling program.
I work in Georgia.
I have previously taught preschool for 4 years.
Teaching style
I like to teach children through fun whenever possible. I believe they learn better when they are engaged and have bought into their education. I try to emphasize the strengths they have while helping them improve their weaker areas.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I won a couple of awards during my master's program, but the honors and awards that mean more are the ones kiddos give. Little pictures drawn and little items like rocks given just for me are worth more than any award!
My own education history
B.S. in Psychology, M.Ed. in School Counseling
Additional biographical information
I love Jesus, my family, and my cat.
