I have made a booklet that showcases different Indigenous Artists and provides a workspace for them to create their own work. There is a unit project at the end of the unit that will encompass all learned material and artistic skills. This unit was reviewed by Indigenous support workers and administration. Profits for this unit will go to our local Indigenous communities.

I wanted to create a unit that focused on inquiry and was rich with culture and learning. This can be done as a class, or assigned as independent work. I made this to be accessible to in-class learning or online learning. There are 9 tasks that will take quite awhile to complete. This is an adapted widget story for the book Holes. It only follows Stanley's story and does not go into the history of his family or the camp. I have created this for kids who struggle with the larger concepts of the book but still need to follow along with their class. It does not go chapter by chapter following the book but has all the necessary information and storylines for Stanley and his friendship with Zero.
I have created a classroom connect four review for Cells. This game includes flashcards that students can use to study with, a PowerPoint with the trivia questions and answers, a how-to document that includes a printable grid and instructions on how to use this as a class review or in smaller groups. This is a fun way to review and learn all about cells. It includes class rivalry, competition and sabotage. There is a range of questions from very basic cell parts and functions, to more in-dept
I created an independent novel study that works for any book and talks about the setting, characters, POV and morals. I have also created this to work as book clubs where students reading different books can join together to talk about the week's themes. This resource will take a minimum of four weeks to complete if you are able to have your students work on it twice a week. My students have enjoyed the freedom to explore these English topics while reading their own books and at their own pace.
I have created a cell Jell-O lab worksheet to do with grades 6-9 for science. This is a hands-on activity that is a lot of fun! The kids are motivated as they get to eat the Jell-O mixture after and relating cell parts to candy has helped them remember not only the part but the function of the part as well! This will take some preparation but it will be something that all students will look forward too!
