Rising Gas Prices Activity - Unit Rates and Proportions
Are you looking to make your proportion lesson a little bit more interesting? This worksheet can be turned into an activity for an entire period or given as a homework assignment depending on your student's skill level.
I got the idea for this lesson from a email forward I received that humorously compared the cost of gas to the cost of other common items. The students will have to complete two questions for each scenario...the unit rate and the cost of the item per gallon. For example, the
