Curiosity Shift

Students can practice writing numbers and learn the American Sign Language sign for each number. Includes numbers 0-9. Each number shows the correct writing formation with numbers and arrows.

Students will learn and reinforce vocabulary for the following parts of an apple: skin, stem, flesh, core, and seeds. The teacher cuts actual apples into pieces and discusses with students these parts and corresponding vocabulary. Students take a turn matching the paper vocabulary words with the correct apple parts. Finally students have their own worksheet showing a cross-section of an apple. Students match the apple vocabulary words to the apple parts on the worksheet and then color thei

Students will identify the inside and outside parts of a pumpkin. The outside of the pumpkin opens like a flap book to reveal the inside! For the lesson, students will observe an actual pumpkin, then they will color and label their pumpkin pages.
