Easy Observation Checkbrics: Student Milestone Tracking Tools EDITABLE!
In Great Performances: Creating Classroom Based-Assessment Tasks (ASCD, 1998), Lewin and Shoemaker describe what they call, “The World’s First Checkbric.” It’s a scoring system that uses a checklist to note that all elements of a student’s work are completed, but combines values assigned to leveled descriptors as in a rubric.
This product takes the idea of a checkbric and turns it into an essential tool for recording observational data for the early childhood and primary classroom.

How I Learned it Log {Metacognition, Tracking, Goal Setting, Strategy Use}
This worksheet puts students in control of their metacognitive processes. Use this form to periodically “check-in” with your students about what they are learning. Handwriting Capacity Assessment {Screening, PreK, Preschool, Grasp}
This tool does not assess the actual handwriting of a student. It assesses handwriting capacity: the ability to learn handwriting and develop the skills necessary for beginning printing.
