This is a detailed PBS plan template with simple guides under the categories (ie. "Teaching Strategies: How will the replacement behavior be taught and by whom?"), so a background in PBS is not necessary to understand the form. It is 2 pages total (about 1.5 printed) with room for notes. This template is based on information from "Behavior Management: Principles and Practices of Positive Behavior Supports" By: Wheeler, John J., and David Dean Richey (2010).
In this comprehensive, multifaceted management strategy utilizing the book "One" by Kathryn Otoshi, students improve relationships with the teacher and each other. Students are aware that they will be accepted by the teacher unconditionally. The teacher models the behavior desired, thus reciprocating the kindness and respect shown by the students. This technique encourages a community classroom environment in which each child feels a sense of belonging and self-worth. The idea of performing acts
I have students with IEPs that say, "will use a calculator to solve." However, they have never been taught how to use a calculator! Walk it back a step with your students and teach them calculator literacy. The first page requires you to input equations based on your current class topics such as fractions or decimals. The project teaches number sense for estimates and understanding how a calculator works. Features Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced calculator use; requires some teacher input to w
Have you ever wondered what happens to the stickers that go on your students' papers? Probably they're filed along with the papers, never to be seen again. Have you ever noticed how thrilled kids are when they get stickers, though? Why not work with that as a form of positive reinforcement?
This set allows you to create a sticker collection book based on a design from students' interests that many teachers have surely seen or heard about.
Eliminate a treasure box by encouraging students to e
Reading and Math test Post-Its for self-checking after tests and quizzes or independent work. Have a fast worker? Know that your students can do better, but they zip through their work? Have them self-grade for independent work checking and rereading. I personally use these for students in the RTI process and students with IEPs. I hope they help you too! Post-Its not included ;) Please make sure your printer can handle post-its before trying this out! Use instructions: 1. Print a copy on a
Use this "fridge facts" sheet for easy communication between first graders and their families. Fill out the sheet and make copies on a weekly basis.
This "fridge facts" sheet has several sections.
(1) Spelling: Students are constantly reminded of their words with a glance every time they pass the fridge or open it. This section is not numbered because I have seen classes with 10 spelling words per week and others with 20 spelling words per week.

I've seen these quotes across the internet and now compiled them into one place for your reference. They're amusing to see how far we've com in terms of the evolution of technology. How far can we still go?
I recently had an interview with a teacher whom I asked how she integrates technology standards. She replied with confusion, "There are technology standards?"
Just a simple exit slip. Lots of room to write for younger/beginning writers. I used these to have students answer a question with a complete sentence before leaving the classroom.

I am a hearty believer in Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences and try to implement that the best I can into my lessons. I also believe technology and student interests should be more involved in the education of students. I also believe that when given the chance, when teachers really believe in them, students will make the best choices available to them.
