This was an important part of our units in 4th and 5th grades as students begin to think about what they want to be when they grow up. In the school I taught in, we used the Big Idea concepts, and related this to maturity, as you will notice in the parent letter. Feel free to modify either of these documents as you feel fit.

Teaching style
I believe the most successful and meaningful lessons are those that engage every student. I use Cooperative Learning activities (Kagan) that are engaging. I believe in allowing students an opportunity to reflect upon their own prior knowledge, and transfer to their current understandings.
My own education history
I have a degree in Human Development, a license in Elementary Ed and a second license in Culturally Linguistic Diverse Education.
