It includes a scaffolded plan from Write Tools, as well as an additional sheet with lines for the final paragraph. This can be used as the 'you do' of a lesson. Experience

I've taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. I am currently teaching 6th grade Language Arts. I teach using Concept Based Learning, which connects our classroom learnings to students' real life worlds. Transfer is key!

Teaching style

I believe the most successful and meaningful lessons are those that engage every student. I use Cooperative Learning activities (Kagan) that are engaging. I believe in allowing students an opportunity to reflect upon their own prior knowledge, and transfer to their current understandings.

My own education history

I have a degree in Human Development, a license in Elementary Ed and a second license in Culturally Linguistic Diverse Education.
