This common core activity will help students begin to understand the relationship among place values. Students will be asked to write sentences to explain their understanding of place value and their relationships. This could be used as a Math Center, Small Group, or Individual activity. Directions and sample sentences are included to help your students know what is expected.

This hands on activity is designed to help students understand the concept of powers of ten. Students will understand the relationship among place values as they move decimals in each problem.
