About the store

Experience

I began my teaching career both an English as a New Language (ENL) teacher and a math interventionist. With the needs of my school changing, I have taken on the sole responsibility of my school's primary ENL teacher. I absolutely adore working with this population of students, and I believe all English Language Learners need our support!

Teaching style

I believe students need multiple, engaging exposures to a variety of topics and concepts. I also believe that students need to review previously taught skills, and that teachers should address learning gaps as they become prevalent. Additionally, I am a huge advocate for small group instruction!

My own education history

I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Childhood education. I later extended my credentials through NYSUT's Education and Learning Trust, which granted me a certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities. From there, I received my Master's Degree in TESOL from Touro College. Today, I continue to take graduate and in-service courses as I never want to stop learning!
