In this problem-based lesson, students become doctors in a cardiology clinic working to diagnose three patients who have congenital heart defects. Each patient is "seen" in a one-minute video interaction with their doctor, where their symptoms, exam findings, and test results are reviewed. Students will then explore the lesson on how to examine the heart, the different types of congenital heart defects, and their associated symptoms. These five short videos (in Column 1 of this Padlet) teach students the basics of solar eclipses, from the orientation of the Earth-Sun-Moon system to the safety precautions necessary to protect their eyes during the eclipse. The worksheet covers the information presented in the videos. Students can use their creativity when creating an infographic on their topic of choice (they have two options to choose from). Answer key is included.
