This fun activity is designed to provide students with practice on how to discover points on a line using the slope definition of rise over run. Students work in pairs to race across a coordinate plane only using moves that support the directions for slope. Through this activity, students learn how a linear equation is formed on a graph and they receive practice with slope that will help them graph lines in slope intercept form. While racing with each other, students will be able to compare

Geometry can be a daunting subject for many students. Imagining shapes and figures and how they fit together in the physical world can be a tough thing to grasp. But if we can make it more concrete and help students wrap their hands, as well as their eyes, around it...we can help make geometry lessons easier to understand. We can help students actually enjoy and look forward to learning! The hit movie, A Wrinkle in Time, based on the book of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle, includes life le
