Mega Math Visual Skill Cues

I am using these for my first graders to provide visual cues of how to reach an assigned skill in Mega Math through our Math Expressions program, but they are accurate for any grade level using the program. I recommend laminating them and using a dry erase marker to indicate the 'Must Do' skill letter. You can also circle the appropriate area on the May Do map that you want them to work on when they have completed the assigned skill. This provides visuals for k up through 6.

About the store

Experience

I have taught first grade in an inner city school for 16 years. I know how important engaging and motivating activities are for students and how important it is to practice things in a fun yet time-efficient way.

Teaching style

I have high expectations for my students. I use a workshop model in my classroom, so I do a lot of small group work. While students are working independently, I need easy-to-use, easy-to-manage activities. I have found that many of the store-made activities are not as child friendly as they seem to be at a first glance. Whether students don't yet have the necessary reading skills, pictures are unclear or confusing, or activities just don't quite meet the common core, I have created activities you will find many of my activities allow students to be as independent as possible. Others simply challenge students to go above and beyond general expectations. I hope you find what you need to meet their needs!
