It can also be used as a differentiation tool when you give different organizers based on abilities.

These nonfiction reading passages are good for grades kindergarten through grade 3. They contain animal facts about 5 different animals: Elephant, Flamingo, Turkey, Clownfish, and Gorilla. These sheets can be used in different ways, you can assign the reading and a reader's response. You can create questions associated with the passages to assess student abilities. I especially use items like this as homework during our nonfiction unit.

This is a vowel chart for educational uses. It can be useful for many grades as it is intended for use during phonics, literacy stations, and writing. When students are writing during independent writing time I give them each one of the mini vowel charts (included) and I model how to use them and then they are usable all year long and for years to come (when laminated).
