About the store

I have been working with students since 2010. I have worked with students from 3 through 7 years old. I have learned that students learn through movement and experiencing the world and I try my best to incorporate that when I teach.

We are all obsessed with the book King of Kindergarten by Derrick Barnes and Vanessa Brantley-Newton! My students cannot get enough of this narrative text. They love the images and the message it conveys. We have been studying the book as part of our personal narrative unit. As you know we teach high frequency words all the time in kindergarten.
