Daily Idiom
Students choose an idiom. They write a newspaper article as though the idiom was literal. They can make it funny, creative, etc. Then, on the back side of the story, they will write the real meaning of the idiom as well as use it in a sentence. It includes an example and a scoring guide. I use media and common interests to hep make content relatable and applicable. I use Kagan strategies as well as active learning strategies. I use a lot of visual examples and group work to understand concepts.

I am a wife, mother, author, teacher, and mentor. I have also done youth ministry, both as a pastor and a volunteer. I have coached multiple sports as well.
