This is an introduction to measurement. It provides students with an exploration of activities they can use to get familiar with measurement. It includes a meter tape measure, some measuring labs, assessments, graphic organizers, and an Interdisciplinary STEM Challenge with a focus on all 8th grade standards across the curriculum. This is a fun way to master standards on St. Patrick's Day. Students will compare two stories and create a graphic organizer headband! There is a rubric included to grade student work. In addition, students will measure how long or tall objects are. They will also be able to complete a blend sight word coloring page. I hope your students find this fun.
