Dinosaur Greek and Latin Roots
Gently introduce your younger elementary-age students to 75+ Greek and Latin roots with these 2 fun activities.
Written in a conversational style, students learn how to look for and identify individual root words. Using a "dictionary" chart, they then translate dinosaur names into English.
Using a model - guided practice - independent practice approach, you can use these activities over 2 or more days. We've even included ideas on how to extend your learning even farther.

With a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University, including a certificate in Gifted Education, I blend research-based best practices into curricular content that often ties in with social-emotional learning.

I homeschooled my children from kindergarten into college - but I am also a professional curriculum developer who has worked with nonprofits, schools, and colleges. I live in Maryland.
