This is a subtraction powerpoint, that has visuals and animations integrated into it to provide for an engaging lesson. When using the powerpoint, you can edit it to include specific student names in order to better engage them. After I showed this powerpoint, I even made a few pirate props to have the students act out some subtraction problems.

These are fun centers that have a very hands-on approach for students being able to identify different types of soil and rocks. They are able to talk about the different characteristics and describe them. The lesson also includes a way to add the naturalistic learning style (which is recommended!). This covers three standards in one day, and you can always choose to do one center at a time.

Simple but easy checklist This allows you to use a passage and note the percentage of periods they pass over or pause at when you have been noting that the student is reading too quickly and believe it may be punctuation-related. The stop sign is used as a strategy for the student to hold up to know when to pause at a period. This can be modeled and then used for guided or independently.
