Officially, I have just finished my second full year of teaching, but truthfully, I have been teaching since I was five years old! I have always surrounded myself with education and found myself in classrooms. I spent the last two years teaching a 3rd and 4th grade Montessori class. Before that, I taught half a year of kindergarten, half a year of second grade, and 2 years of PreK while in college. This year, I am excited to return to the Kindergarten Classroom! The Day it Rained Hearts Math Activity
A perfect addition math activity to pair with the children's book "The Day it Rained Hearts!" Students can glue construction paper hearts or draw their own to help them complete the math sentence! Easily laminated for use with dry erase markers too! This can be used as a math center, a small group project, or even as a whole class after reading the book. Students will become familiar with the words "in all" as well as start recognizing how to turn a picture into a math sentence.
