Although the journal prompts are divided into specific months, not all topics are about that particular time of the year. With that said, you are welcome to pick and choose to differentiate for students in your classroom. The journal prompts can be written on the board, projected onto the wall, or printed off to hand to students. If you choose to print them off, students can use the dotted lin

Have you ever noticed how much trash is thrown away daily? Tons of paper, cans, plastics and aluminum are thrown away each month. If everyone would simply recycle, imagine how much cleaner our world could be. There are many different ways to show children how important recycling is to our planet. In my opinion, the best way is to introduce the lesson with a hands-on activity that will allow them to understand the importance of recycling. Most students understand the solar system by the time

We may have learned to live with it, but our planet Earth is a completely different story. Our planet is screaming for help the only way it can; her rainforests are disappearing and animals are dying or becoming endangered. These are only two ways that our planet is able to show us how pollution affects her.  We need to listen and try to put a stop to the amount of pollutio

About the store

Experience

I have taught 33 years in public education. Twenty-four years were spent teaching grades 2nd through 4th in the regular classroom, then the rest of my career I taught Kindergarten through sixth grade Gifted and Talented while simultaneously teaching higher education.

Teaching style

I believe all students can learn but not the same way or at the same level. This is why the lessons and activities I designed allow teachers to use them at multiple grade levels. Every student has a key and when we as teachers find that key, it makes teaching so rewarding. This is why I named my store "Find Every Key."
