This is an activity I created to bring the requirements of the Common Core missing addend in all positions. We needed to supplement the math program in our school and to integrate Green Eggs and Ham activities into all subjects.

It also includes a copy of the pacing guide as well as the form we use for grading the assessment. This assessment can be used without using Trailblazers as your curriculum.

Studies show that informing students of the goals for lessons helps students prepare for the lesson. This flipchart was made to celebrate the author's birthday. It has several pages of finding a rhyme for words used in this book, matching contractions, opinion writing and missing addend. Current math lessons need to be adapted to fit the requirements of the Common Core State Standards. One of the ways I have adapted one of the lessons requiring writing subtraction problems was to read students word problems so that they have to figure out the whole number and the part that is taken away. To facilitate practicing word problems as a center activity or intervention, I turned the word problems into a game.
